The Truth
Hip Hop Studio (HHS) Magazine was designed
to be a valued part of the evolution of Hip Hop, and to be an
advocate for the elimination of the "digital divide".
HHS magazine is one
of the first professional level magazines to combine audio and
video production technology, we cover both. HHS
is knowledgeable to both the world of hip-hop culture and the
world of media technology.
History
HHS Magazine was created in 2001 by
Chuck J and Dr. Jones as a way to create technical and "behind
the camera/ microphone" information, entertainment, and
news for the Hip Hop production community.
HHS magazine is the result of four years
and a small fortune invested in research, testing, and development.
Our official magazine public launch will be April 2005 in New
York City, Hip Hop's birthplace. Hip Hop itself has grown out
of its humble Bronx, New York inner city beginnings to being
heard worldwide by all racial and ethnic groups.
Imagine a kid in Siberia writing his
first rap, imagine a rap group in Japan going into the studio
to record first demo, and a producer editing a music video in
Greenland to email to Brazilian TV networks.
We will promote equal access to media
technology tools. We are THE technology source for Hip
Hop audio and video production worldwide with plans for nine
international versions.
Circulation Statement
Hip Hop has a gross demographic audience
of 40 million people(USA alone). Our niche is made of the artist,
producers, and fans of hip hop culture.
This market is directly responsible
for the finished audio and video productions that we see and
hear. Hip Hop will have an estimated $20 billion in disposable
income in 2005-6, with hundreds of millions spent on audio, video,
film, and video production technology.
The first four issues will have a controlled
monthly distribution of 20,000
50% newsstand and 50% qualified subscribers;
Industry executives, artist, DJ's and producers
Monthly goals include a subscriber base
of 40,000 by the end of year one
